If you have read through the blog, you will know I donate my services through an association called the ACOCP . The ACOCP is an association of photographers who donate their photography to families who have suffered with  stillbirths, critically ill infants, as well as have babies and children with serious and terminal illnesses.

6 months ago I was on my way to the studio to do some late night processing when I was called out to a hospital for an ACOCP session. By the time I had met the family and we discussed what they would like to do, it was well after midnight.

It is a rare and privileged position to be allowed into the most intimate and painful time of a families life, and be able to take beautiful photos that become the memories of their child and can make a huge difference in the families grieving for their loss.

Today, the president of our association emailed me to say that the family had donated $1500 to our volunteer organization as thanks for the service.

What a wonderfully generous act that will go along way in extending the service we provide.
