Last night we had a great social night at the Vic Hotel around the corner from Rob Frith’s studio where 50+ Perth members of the vibrant photographic community including, photographers, students and suppliers came along to catchup with other photographers and hear my talks. For extra interest, Craig Kinder and Ian Regnard were given sample briefs to illustrate the estimating process and discussed their methods and their estimates from the front of the room.
Here are some pics. A big thanks to Rob Frith from Acorn Studios and Aaron Bunch from Traffic Studio for organizing the event and thanks to Traianos (Tom) Pakioufakis also from Traffic Studio for designing the invitation.

Hi Gavin
Thank’s for last night. It was great hearing what you had to say. Also having Ian & Craig go through the pricing exercise was of great interest.
I know a lot of the people in the room but it’s been quite a few years since I’ve seen most of them so it was very nice catching up.
Also the image of the Mum with her little baby is possible one of the strongest and thought provoking images I have ever seen. Brings a tear to the eye just thinking about it!
Thanks again Gavin
regards
Rod
Hey Gavin
Thanks for an energetic and enlightening evening. I’ve been at it already; making some revisions to our quoting forms and updating our T&Cs which I discover I haven’t looked at since 2004!
I’ve been sending quotes and estimates depending on circumstances, but you put a good case for estimates only last night so I’m dropping the quotes completely.
My terms and conditions and the current Better Business Bible ones both have some film legacy evident in them. Looking forward to the updated BBB
Thanks
Rob
