Small Miracles Book Launch by Bonnie Babes

On September 3, 2009, in Uncategorized, by Gavin Blue

Today I gave a speech sharing about a parent’s experience of stillbirth for a book launch at the National Library in Canberra of  The Bonnie Babes Foundation’s publication “Small Miracles, coping with infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth”. My wife and I were interviewed about our experience of the stillbirth of our little girl Alexandra and now form part of a book of shared stories of courage and hope. Media were there and feature articles appeared in the Canberra Times, Sydney Morning Herald, Canberra Weekly and WIN news (see clip below)

During the presentation, images were shown in a moving slideshow that was put together with many images from ACOCP photographers (with the consent of families). The book will go a long way in raising awareness about these often unspoken tragedies and assist friends and families of people who go through these experiences to have the courage and compassion to support them.
