Two years ago my wife and I went through the trauma of having a stillborn child. A beautiful baby girl, Alexandra Charlotte Blue. We had many photos and video of us with Alex, but began to see that many people who go through similar circumstances often are left with only a few images.
I now work with a charity The Australian Community of Child Photographers (www.acocp.org.au) who networks through a community of committed individuals offering the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses. There is no charge for the service and I think the more people that know about the service the better.
Here are some portraits of Jordan and her family. Jordan struggled for life for all of her 8 short months and she passed away a few days after these photos were taken.

The one with me kissing her forhead is my favourite. Thank you Gavin.
I am blessed to have Sophie, Aaron and her family in my life, and was honoured to have been able to spend a little time with Jordan. I know how much your gift to them, at such a heartwrenching time, meant to them. I just wanted to express how much it warms my heart to know that there are people like you in this world. Your photography is beautiful! Thankyou for sharing your gift so selflessly with those who have experienced the worst kind of tragedy.
Kindest regards,
Lynne.
